Orangeville, ON  December 30, 2020 — Dufferin Media has selected the winners of their 2021 Adopt a Charity and Adopt a Business campaign. Many nonprofit organizations and businesses were nominated. All were such worthy charities and businesses doing a lot of incredible work in Dufferin County and abroad. It made the selection process challenging for the Dufferin Media team.

The winners are:

Adopt a Charity Local:  Dufferin County Canadian Black Association

Adopt a Charity International:  Million Dollar Smile

Adopt a Business Orangeville: Edify Centre

Adopt a Business International:  AG Secure HomeWatch

The goal of the campaign was to help a local charity from Dufferin County, a charity outside of Orangeville, a local business from Dufferin County and a business located outside of Orangeville. Dufferin Media will assist these charities and businesses by increasing their online presence and exposure. “I am overjoyed that we are in a position to offer digital marketing assistance to nonprofit organizations and small businesses that are making a difference in our communities. 2020 has been difficult for everyone, especially charities and small businesses. With restrictions on events, many charities had limited capacity to raise desperately needed funds. Small businesses have also faced similar restrictions and had to pivot their strategy often with a great expense. Dufferin Media is in a fortunate position to be able to help. For the past two years, the digital marketing company has held its ‘Adopt a Charity’ campaign offering marketing services for one charity. This year, owner Sarah Clarke significantly increased the campaign to two charities and two businesses.

In the past two years since Dufferin Media has been holding this contest, they have helped Neighbourhood Information Post in 2019 and All Paws Rescue in 2020. Neighbourhood Information Post offers programs that are geared towards assisting the Downtown Toronto East community with housing and living expense issues. All Paws Rescue is located in Brampton and is a cat rescue that focuses on re-homing kittens and cats.
